Lava Lamp Bulb

The lava lamp bulb is actually the traditional 40-watt frosted light bulb that you can find anywhere. Therefore, it is unnecessary to order pricey light bulbs from lava lamp manufacturers to replace your lava lamp bulb.

However, if you have one of the larger lava lamps that require 100-watt bulbs (which may be harder to find) or you just feel better buying replacement bulbs made for the lava lamp you can get them from Planet Lava.

The lava lamp bulb that I am replacing is a 120V30W and HOme Depot does not carry it. It is small and mushroom shaped. The top is about 1.5 in diameter. Any ideas?

I am also lookin for a 120V20W light bulb for my Oozy Glo Lava lamp. I tried finding the company's website but i couldn't find it. I did find however a 240V30W lava lamp light bulb that is shaped just like the one i have (small cylinder screw base with a 1.5 in wide top; mushroom shape). I wonder if it will still work. I dont want to end breakin my lava lamp; its my favorite and i cant find that particular lamp anywhere. Does anyone think having a 240V30W bulb will still work when i need a 120V30W bulb??

I have the same bulb in my lamp, I bought it at Spencers and when my bulb went out I went back to Spencers and was able to get a replacement bulb. This was almost 2 years ago, so I'm not sure if they still carry those but just a thought.

My lava lamp says to only use a 110v 30w bulb. I don't have any idea what company made it. Where can I find a replacement for that?

I just came back from purchasing two R12 30W 120V bulbs from Spencers at Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax, Virginia. The manager said most Spencers will have them in stock, and if they're out they will gladly order them for you.

Has anyone ever had a problem with their oozy glo lamp/lava lamp? Mine is acting up. It's not making little bubbles anymore. I just have this big blob on the bottom and a bubble on top. i can't throw it out as it has a sentimental value to it, but I really want the bubbles to work again. They were working about 16 hours ago-now, nothing. Any advice? Also, I noticed everyone was talking about bulbs. I just replaced the bulb in mine (120v 40w)and it was only $1.97, so don't buy the expensive bulbs. I'm curious though-would 40 watts instead of 30 watts cause the lamp to not work properly?

hi, everyone:

the lava lamp bulb depend on the size of lava lamp.
Different country have different voltage.
Usually,we apply the 120v/25w and 230v/25w instead of 110v/25w and 220v/25w in order to increase the lifetime of bulb.

welcom to disscuss with us about lava lamp.

Ok I have been searching for a replacement bulb for my daughters lava lamp forever now. I have been to several stores including hardware stores and they didnt have it. Its a mushroom top bulb with chrome around it, but a clear top, 120v40w. HELP! I cant find one even online. I originally got the lava lammp at target like 4 years ago and they don't even carry them anymore. If anyone can help me please email me!! Thanks, my 3 year old daughter will appreciate it too!
